4D Intermedia: Gabriel Laborin

 For this assignment I was prtnered with Katie, and we loved the space we were in and thoght it had an amazing view. With this we wanted to give the space a new life by making the bugs who might not be seen or noticed, the main focus of the space. Inspired by childrens books like the 'hungry catarpillar' we wanted to make the  silhouettes colorful and simple, vinyl was the perfect material for this. It as fun/tricky to get some of the bugs up because of the parts, shapes, and position of them. Overall this was a very fun poject and very fun to work with a partner.

 This Project I wanted to mke a prequal to my video about smashing the phone, gving more context to why it is a big deal to me and why it should be for others as well. I had a ot of troubleshooting with his as I wanted to focus on the animation more but simply did not have the time even tough I went past the deadline. Overall it was fun to act and voice act in the video, I think I captured how much a significance he phone has i out lives and the power it hs over our attention. 

 For this project I wanted to have a little more fun after taking the last couple projects pretty seriously. My friend Blaka makes music and showed me this song he hasn't released yet but I have been loving it. I saw te oppurtunity to make a music video inspired by awge music videos with artists like A$AP Rocky, Lil Uzi, and Playboi Carti. The Title of the song is ToBeAHuman, so I wanted to capture moments of the most human things I have gone through or witnessed nd put it into a fun upbeat music video.

 For this project I wanted my performance to e uplifting. After going strong midway throuh the semester, there was a lot goingon and things I had to face. I aimed to captre this feeling by cutting out aimals that seemed big, fearce, and strong in hopes to imagine them facing that fear yu have. I had everyone go pick and animal they liked, then told everyone them to write down their fear or something they are worrying about and share with a partner. This helped people explain and See their situation from a different perspective as well as alowing themselves to be vulnerable enough to share. At the end of this I read an affirmation about each of the animals hopefully relating to the situation the person was going through. I thouroughly enjoyed this process and seeing everyone's reaction to the affirmation a how it lined up and ended up being something they needed to hear.

 For this project J, Kailea, and I had to decorate the space between armington and the GLC. This project was a bit difficult to brinstorm with as our initial idea was not approved, we ended up with oing with something simple that elevated the space pretty well. With this specific street, it is used as a drop-off point, pick-up, or anything in between, so we made itinto a pitstop station in relation to F1 races. We wanted to make it from birds eye view which I think was confusing at first but really made the space fun and interactive overall.
